The Bell Bird Room
The Bell Bird (also known as the Korimako) is known for its distinctive bird song, often found in the wilderness garden, feeding on the nectar of the native trees. This pretty room with a generous double bed looks out the back of the homestead towards the edible garden & farmgate. This room shares the main bathroom (shower & bath) & toilet next door, why not run yourself a “bath with a view” relax and unwind. (see image below) |
The Tui Room (Twin)
The Tui is in abundance outside this room's windows, listen & watch and you won't miss them. Native to New Zealand with its beautiful colours, distinctive song & white tuft under its neck. This twin room has two king single beds and shares the main bathroom (shower & bath). Wake in the morning, open the curtains & look out over the lawn towards our historic Pohutukawa tree and watch Tui’s swoop and dive in the wilderness garden. |
The Keruru Room
The Keruru or NZ native wood pigeon is often found eating the bright red berries from the Puriri tree out the far window. This large and colourful bird is a real treat to watch, swooping in low for our viewing pleasure. This is a quiet and peaceful room, with a king bed and ensuite. The ensuite includes a small shower and toilet. Enjoy waking up & looking out into the wilderness garden , maybe spotting a bird or two dancing in the trees & shrubs just outside. |
