Romney Lane Homestead is centrally located in the North Island of New Zealand. When exploring the North Island, the homestead is a handy halfway point between Wellington and Taupo, in the heart of Northern Manawatu.
Finding us is easy from most directions, if you have time, take a scenic route, you’ll find that the Manawatu provides a spectacular driving experience. From Auckland/Taupo on State Highway 1 (SH1) turn off just south of Mangaweka at Vinegar hill onto ‘The Stormy Point’ route, to enjoy this road's dramatic landscapes. Also well worth an explore on the way here is the alternate route from stormy point, the Peep-o-Day Route. This scenic Manawatū route cuts in off State Highway One and travels through sweeping valleys. Peep-o-Day Route takes through stunning landscape of rural Manawatū. Between Rangiwahia and Apiti, make the most of Iron Gates Experience with some great local knowledge and experiences. The homestead is located down a quiet country road, a 15-minute drive from the small & vibrant rural town of Feilding & 30mins from state highway 1. Once you have found us, turn into the farm entrance, drive up the long laneway past the woolshed where the homestead and country gardens will greet you. |
