Ataahua Flower Farm - By appointment Only POA Make it into a truly memorable weekend and include a flower workshop into your stay. The flower farm is approximately 10 km north of the homestead up towards Kimbolton Village. Join in on upcoming workshops or organise a small group tour with Gemma.

CrossHills Garden & Fair (November) A 15-minute drive up towards the small rural village of Kimbolton is Crosshills Gardens. It is the largest private garden in the Manawatu with one of the world's finest collections of rhododendrons and azaleas. Entry is open most of the year, but the best season to visit is early to late Spring - Entry costs $10 per adult, they also have a plant centre where you can buy Rhododendrons & Azaleas direct from the nursery. Heritage Park The former National Garden of the New Zealand Rhododendron Association. Heritage Park is set 520 metres above sea level, just north of Kimbolton. It is a perfect location for growing rhododendrons (we have over 2000), azaleas and magnolias as well as many specimen trees, shrubs and plants. The 5-hectare site is gently undulating with ponds, streams and sculptures which can all be viewed from wide, easy walking paths. While peak flowering occurs from October to November, the garden is worthy of a visit any time of year with varying vistas to enjoy, such as the stunning autumn colours.
